Insuladd makes paint insulate
The success of the INSULADD® additive are a result of the high tech microspheres that effectively deflect heat.
The technology behind these microspheres was developed by NASA to reduce the transfer of heat and protect the surface of space shuttle.
The microspheres used by INSULADD® embrace the technology developed by NASA, with each microsphere comprising three different layers, which together are effective at deflecting heat back to its source.
Heat energy is absorbed and radiated from every solid object.

Heat energy is measured in BTU's (British Thermal Units).

Each unit of heat radiated, naturally moves from hot to cold.

To understand INSULADD think on a microscopic level.

Microspheres in dried paint resemble billiard balls on a table.
1) BTU's miss the microspheres, and pass through to the surface.

2) BTU's hit microspheres, bounce around, and eventually pass through.

3) BTU's hit a microsphere or two, and deflect back out.

4) BTU's hit a microsphere and is immediatly deflected back out.

5) BTU's hit microspheres, bounce around, and eventually pass back out.

As energised units of radiated heat move through the paint (table), five things can happen to these energised heat units (BTU's).
When energised heat particles enter the paint and come into contact with the microspheres that have a reflective coating, these energised particles 'bounce or deflect' off these microspheres.

Some of the energised particles find their way through the maze of microspheres, and flow through to the cooler side.

Many of the energised heat particles however are deflected back out of the paint, and do not make contact with the painted surface .
With INSULADD® painted onto an exterior surface, heat is returned back to the exterior space, meaning less BTU's are transferring through to the interior space.

It's like getting FREE BONUS cooling.
With INSULADD® painted on to an interior surface, BTU's get returned back to the interior space.

It's like getting FREE BONUS heat energy.

By deflecting heat PRIOR to it reaching a surface,
