| Reducing shed temps by 8 degrees C. | Our painting company has used Insuladd to reduce heat transfer on a number of jobs in Queensland. Jobs include Blufin Seafoods, B& H Rural Supplies and Sunny Queen Eggs. Sunny Queen Eggs added Insuladd to 10 x 2,000 sq. metre laying sheds and are reducing shed temps by 8 degrees c on 40 degree day. Lee Morrisey - Contract Painting - Queensland, Australia. |
| Client is so satisfied | I want to comment you that I've painted 4000 square feet of ceiling for a manufacturer of mattresses using Insuladd with a local paint and the client is so satisfied with the savings and application, that he wants us to paint 6000 feet more. Guillermo Gamez - Colombia |
| Great success and real results. | We've applied this to lot's of houses in West Orlando with great success and real results. One of my painters lives on the E. Coast of FL and he applied this to the interior of his outiside walls and his ceilings. He testimony was that the rooms are noticably cooler in summer and his electric bill was less. Don't remember by how much, but it was noticeable. Anyway, don't let anyone tell you it's snake oil if they haven't used it. We painted the inside of our office trailer with it, and the a/c stopped running constantly during the summer. Brian Commercial and Residential Painting |
| R Value Fairy Tale | If one looks deeper into insulation methods it is apparent that testing methods have not caught up with new technologies. If you Google "R Value Fairy Tale" you will find numerous postings of an article which shows how the insulation industry has embraced a faulty system. Why we say? One reason is because it was deemed to be a more simple way to refer to. The problem is not many of the engineers and architects can tell you how or why a product was assigned a given number. There is a reason that the people in responsible positions making the decisions on insulation are completely confused on true insulation values and the truths about fiberglass. Since the middle to late 70's, the fiberglass manufacturers (Owens Corning) made a point to establish formulas and work the numbers to convince engineering, architect groups including the public that this new product was the answer to insulation by using their own newly derived numbers to prove the worth. | I love it! | I have applied it to my personal home and I love it. I applied Insuladd to my ceilings, walls, and to my 2nd level floor. NOW WE ARE ABLE TO MAINTAIN A 76 degree upstairs & downstairs in which was impossible before. Thanks for the information. Ronnie Morton CEO - Painting Contractors |
| The client is going to be impressed | I visited the site today (storage facility) and did some testing with a infrared thermometer. When I hit the roof deck of unit 508 with a digital laser infrared thermometer, the temperature of the treated unit was 101 deg. I did the same in unit 511, the untreated unit, and the decks temperature was 136deg. That's a significant difference. The temperature of the treated door was 115 deg, The untreated unit's door was 138 deg. The block work on the treated unit was 101 deg and the untreated units block was 116 deg. I also installed a digital thermometer in each of the units and the treated unit was running approximately 10 to 12 degrees lower than the untreated unit. We checked the temp in the units at approximately 3:30 PM and the treated unit's temp was 121 deg and the untreated unit was 131 deg. It would seem to me that if the whole roof was treated, that the interior temperature would be dropped by 35 degs or close to that. The client is coming out tomorrow and I think they are going to be impressed, I will keep you informed. George |
| Tested with great results. | Our company has ordered and tested your Insuladd with our electrostatic equipment with great results. We are located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We service the better part of Western Canada and would like to inquire about an exclusive distributorship for our area. Thanks! Venger Painting - Canada |
| Skeptical contractor is impressed. | Being a somewhat skeptical old contractor I wanted to find out if Insuladd really worked. On the west side of a house in the hot afternoon Texas sun we took readings using an infrared thermometer on the painted cedar siding. The paint color and brand was identical and the readings were taken about six inches apart. The painted siding that had the Insuladd added was 10 degrees cooler than the identical paint without the added barrier. After that test I painted all my woodwork with the stuff and then sprayed the underside of my attic roof. General Contractor & Estimator |
| I want to demonstrate the product to the architects and contractors | My name is Eli Alaluf from Israel JERUSALEM I have a company construction In Israel and main point of our work is a renovation of houses and offices. Likewise during work also we executed work of insulation. We builder of transportable building. They are built panel of metal I read about yours company and all of your insulating paints products. Friends sent to me 15 gallons of the product. And I paint a small container that serves as office. I examined the temperature is outdoor and inside in steady times in advance. And I found a change in the temperature of outdoor and inside The test became from 6.00 am to 6.00 pm.. I have graph that describes the test. And inside there was the temperature is low 20%. This difference truly causes to savings in electricity. I paint first time with primer. and then I mix the powder with latex paint .and I paint two times. I used to testing of temperature with digital thermometer 2 channels. I am much excited from yours products I am sure that will be a great success to yours products in our country. We don't have in Israel any kind of insulating paints Insulating Paint I think there is big potentials for success your product in our country There are many old houses and new houses that they are not insulated properly There are many factories are and mall are built from panel of metal I want to demonstrate the products to the architects.contractors.and of course exhibitions of construction. Kind regards I apologize that the my English is not so good Eli alaluf- ADAMCO LTD. Israel |
| Hot Boiler Pipes Temp Reduced 45%! | I wanted to see how effective insulating ceramics were so I put it on my boiler pipes and generated the heat to it's full capacity. The temperature on the outside of the pipes was reduced by 45% with four coats of paint. The reduction rate has reduced the boiler run time from a 2 hour length of time , down to 20 minutes. I highly recommend your product. Needless to say, I am going to use insulating additive on my exterior walls and interior ceilings. Mary Jeffrey Owings Mills, MD |
| I can approach my customers with great confidence. |
After I obtained the distributorship agreement with you, I tested the material in my shop. I am a cautious person when it comes to representing material or services to a customer. I sprayed a metal panel with gloss white enamel, and another panel with semi-gloss off-white latex. Having been a paint distributor of automotive & industrial finishes, I was aware the test I was doing was definitely not in favor of your product. I placed panels under an infrared lamp with a refrigeration thermometer under each panel. After a period of time I read the thermometers. The gloss white panel was 105 degrees F. The semi-gloss latex (now flat after adding insulad) was only 90 degrees F. I did not expect such a large differential, so I switched the panels above the thermometers and repeated the test. The 2nd test only showed approximately 1 degree difference from the first test. As a result of testing your product myself, I can approach my customers with great confidence. I am sure that our customers are going to very much appreciate the results of using this material - a great money saver in these energy costly times. | Noticed a remarkable difference | Dear Sirs, I recently published a book entitled Green Home Improvement, which contains 65 projects homeowners can do to green their homes, including projects to boost energy efficiency. In that book, I included a project on insulating paint additives. I painted my living room walls and ceiling and my front entry way with your product and have noticed a remarkable difference in the way the room retains heat when the wood stove is operating. I also ran a test of Insuladd's effectiveness, which I've attached to this e-mail. The graph supplied is the result of a study a student and I performed. (It was her science project in 8th grade.) We painted the insides of two large identical cardboard boxes, one with an environmentally friendly wall paint containing Insuladd, the other with an environmentally friendly wall paint without Insuladd. We then placed 100-watt light bulbs in each box along with a temperature sensor, then sealed the boxes and plotted temperature every three minutes for 45 minutes. She ran the experiment 20 times, so each data point represents the average of 20 trials. As the graph higlights, the box painted with Insuladd reached a higher temperature -- it was about 15 degrees F higher than the box painted without Insuladd. Best wishes, Dan Chiras Daniel D. | I prefer to mix it in my own paint | I love your product! I am so glad I found that I could purchase just this product rather than a premixed product. I had been doing that in the past and I prefer to mix it in my own paint. Jenne Helm Compulsive Cravings |
| Additive reduced the temperature significantly. |
I spent four hours today conducting an experiment on the Insulating Additive for paints. The experiment was conducted in a room that had a constant ambient temperature of 75 degrees. A focused (3" x 5") heat source (light) was used that remained constant at 220 degrees. Material tested: (P1) 3/8" thick untreated plywood 10" x 10" square (P2) 3/8" thick untreated plywood 10" x 10" square covered on one side with one coat of paint containing the Insulating Additive (M1) 24 gauge galvanized steel 12" x 12" square (M2) 24 gauge galvanized steel 12" x 12" square covered on one side with one coat of paint containing the Insulating Additive Test Results: Plywood At the 45 minutes mark of the heat source being placed 10 inches from P1 the temperature was taken 1/16th of an inch from the surface exposed to the heat source, and 1/16th of an inch from the back side of the plywood (the heat source was on the other side of the wood). Temperature on heat source side of P1---108 degrees Temperature on back side of P1-----------97 degrees Temperature on heat source side of P2---108 degrees Temperature on back side of P2-----------90 degrees Galvanized Steel The only variation in testing the steel vs. the wood was that the heat source was place 12 inches away instead of 10 inches. Temperature on heat source side of M1---100 degrees Temperature on back side of M1-----------90 degrees Temperature on heat source side of M2---100 degrees Temperature on back side of M2-----------80 degrees I did several shorter tests of 5 and 10 minutes, prior to the 45 minute tests. In each case it was obvious that the paint additive reduced the temperature significantly. It is unknown to me what this translates to in terms of heating and cooling savings, however, it is obviously significant when you think of how much longer an air conditioner must run in a house to keep the temperature down to 80 degrees instead of 90 degrees. I have not done any testing using a cold source (vs. a heat source), but it is reasonable to expect similar results. |
| Enhanced appearance and reduced utility bills | We recently completed a 90,000 square foot building that has been converted into a climate controlled mini-storage. The flat tar and gravel roof was coated with an insulating roof coating and the walls were also painted inside and out with insulating ceramic paint. Not only did these coatings enhance the appearance of the building but they also created a significant savings in the utilities for the building. Originally it took 16 Air Conditioning units to cool the building...it now takes ONLY 3 ! Not only is there a significant savings in energy costs but also the life expectancy of the A/C units will increase approximately 4 times. |
