| Energy bill has reduced | I painted the downstairs of my home with insuladd and remain very pleased with its insulating abilities. Our energy bill has reduced in a very short time. JDC - South Carolina |
| I like the finish | October 2010 "I recently bought some of your product Insuladd and must say initially I'm liking what I see, I like the finish (velvety) and using it as a undercoat and gloss on very rough woodwork it seems to be very durable and is so far holding excellently and looking good; My advise here is don’t lay off the paint to much as it dries, this tends to pull it off. Using it as an exterior emulsion (in white) makes it seem very bright indeed that sounds crazy I know but it does; My advice here is keep stirring the paint and apply quick as you can. I have two pouches left which I have 2 bathrooms to paint to try and cut down mildew, I shall be using a roller and will let you know the outcome as and when. I also have other jobs lined up with people who have seen the results so far, and like what they see who will be contacting you soon for your Insuladd product. They will be requiring it's insulating properties as their priority, again I will be in touch." Mr R - Seaford England |
| Friends couldn't praise it enough | October 2010 "I have received my Insuladd, I have heard it is very good and purchased it based on a recommendation from a friend who has had similar problems with condensation/mould. They couldn’t praise it enough. I found the ordering process very simple and I received the package very promptly. Overall I am very satisfied, thank you." Ms. H - Melton Mowbray England |
| Have not yet switched our heating on | October 2010 "I am writing to thank you for the supply of the Insuladd pouch I bought from you three months ago. We mixed the Insuladd into 5 litres of Dulux Brilliant White Silk finish emulsion paint. We applied two coats of this mix by roller and brush to the four walls and the ceiling of our home office. The application was easy and the resultant finish which is best described as a very slight texture looks very good indeed. Have we seen any thermal benefits. Yes, I think we have. So much so that my husband has been checking with a thermometer over the last three months for any measurable effect. The office appears to be between 1.5 and 2.0C warmer than any other room in the house. We have not yet switched our heating on for the winter season, the only source of heat in the office is the PC which it would appear is keeping the temp up. Even in the morning when the PC has been off all night with the door shut, the office is generally 1.0 - 1.5C warmer than any other room in the house. We are very encouraged by this and will be decorating the rest of the house over the next 12 months. We will be back in touch for some more Insuladd." Mrs. H - Stoke-on-Trent England |
| Excellent product and service | October 2010 "I have used Insuladd on various applications around the home and work place and found it worked well especially in the Bathroom area of a property recently. It does seem to make a real difference in overall ambient temperature of rooms. It does finish to a slightly suede texture on the walls but personally I find this gives an overall better appearance than gloss sheen. I recently obtained a mixing attachment for my drill and found this helps greatly with the mixing process, turns a 5 minute job into a 2 min job. Thanks for an excellent product and service. Feel free to publish my views on your web page it may help people find the benefits I obtained. Best Regards, Andy Latham - www.congleton-engineering.co.uk" England |
| I'd recommend it to anybody | "One wall in the small bedroom was always wet and mouldy in the cold weather and now its totally dry. That room in particular was always freezing and it is so comfortable. We've now done all the other bedrooms and the hall stairs and landing and the difference is amazing. Our gas fired heating burner (ideal classic) has markings 1-6 and we used to have it set at 5, switched on most of the day. Now it is down to 2 and the house is much warmer than it used to be. I wish we had done it years ago when we moved in. I'd recommend it to anybody. We're delighted with it" Mrs Trish Pearson - Dublin |
| Thrilled with your product | I've used Insuladd on both my primary home and second home and couldn't be more thrilled with your product. Cindy - Lancaster, CA |
| We find the room much warmer | We used it in a sitting/ dining room which was always cold. Theres no doubt about Insuladd, we find the room much warmer & we noticed a big differnce. We are going to use it in one of the bedrooms next" J & C Folan - Claregalway |
| What a great product | Just wanted to drop a line and say thanks for the prompt and excellent service. I have ordered from your company before and the paint additive did the trick for my one room that was freezing cold in the winter and roasting in the summer. It is now the most comfortable room in the house. This order is for my "paint the whole outside" of the house project and to do the ceilings in my niece's mobile home. I am your best spokesperson in the neighborhood. I tell everyone that will listen what a great product you have. Thanks for being there. I am one happy customer! Take good care, Zoe |
| The difference is unbelievable. |
I'm thrilled to bits the way the bedroom has turned out after using the Insuladd paint. The walls used to be damp to the touch and mouldy, and it was very hard to get a proper nights sleep, I was wheezy etc. I put on two coats on the walls and ceiling and the difference is unbelievable. The room is much warmer and drier, the musty smell is gone and im breathing and sleeping much better now. My daughter is getting her house done with it in the next few weeks. It has made such a difference to me. Thanks a million for such a great product. I've been telling everybody about it since Connie Cullen - Dublin |
| Results were amazing | "Living in the hot Arizona Desert results in large electric bills during the summer. This past summer, we painted our home with INSULADD. The results were amazing. The temperature on the exterior walls in July showed a 10 to 15 degree drop in temperature. The garage dropped 15 degrees. The attic did not get above 120 degrees. I am looking forward to lower utility bills in the future." Elizabeth - Arizona |
| Showed an extra 3degrees temperature | I bought and used Insuladd for one bedroom about four years ago. While I was initially sceptical, I decided to take a chance on it anyways as it wasnt too expensive. To prove to myself I placed a thermometer in the room for a month before gettin it painted then after I applied the Insuladd I placed the thermometer back in the room again for another month. To my surprise I discovered that without changing any heating or rad it showed an extra 3degrees temperature on average in the same room. I am very happy with it and tell all my friends now!!" Deirdre Collins - Dublin |
| I couldn't believe the difference it made! |
I ordered a 10 gallon kit of Insuladd on 10/26/07. I started painting the inside of a bathroom on the cold side of the house (Northwest) and I couldn't believe the difference it made! I am very pleased. Enclosed is a check for 10 packages of Insuladd including postage. Please send to the same address as before. Thank you K. Hoover - Cobleskill, NY. |
| I'm so glad I took that leap of faith | Last summer I crossed my fingers and bought your product for my roof, ceiling and outer walls. I'm so glad I took that leap of faith because not only is the room lovely, it remains cool in the summer and warmer in the winter. Dee - ODESSA, TX |
| Significant reduction in my PG&E bill. |
I had the entire exterior of my two-story house in the San Francisco Bay Area painted with two coats of Insuladd-added-paint. The following month I noticed a significant reduction in my PG&E bill. I am delighted with Insuladd and will be using it the next time we have my rental units painted. I am also encouraging my senior citizen clients to use Insuladd for the obvious savings it provides. You folks have a wonderful product! Joanne L. Gardiner - San Francisco |
| It is absolutely amazing. |
We have used the insuladd all over our home and it is absolutely amazing. Our neighbours were so impressed that they have used it also. Theres no way we would go back to the way it used to be. Our radiator usage aswel as heating bills has been cut and the place feels much more cosy than before" Barry Mullan - Dublin |
| Deserves a 5 star rating. |
I would just like to leave my comments about an amazing product that does exactly what it says on the packaging...INSULATES! Insuladd really does work. I live in an old stone cottage on top of a hill (very, very windy and stormy). Over the years my husband and i have dry-lined our cottage but there was a north facing wall in the kitchen which we never got around to doing so we decided to try insuladd instead. The difference in the heat that is retained in my kitchen now is very noticable. Even on a mild day the kitchen used to feel quite cool, not anymore, it just feels so cosy. We are so impressed by this product that we are ordering more, I cant recommend it enough and it certainly deserves a 5 star rating. Trudy Cowx - Clare |
| I Love the product. | I Love the product. I am renovating an uninsulated house. We painted the ceiling & doors with 2 coats of primer (insuladd added). The reduction in spring cold & summer heat was noticable. Since then we have blown cellulose into the walls. But I still plan on painting the attic structures with Insuladd. Lori - NM |
| I am a very very satisfied customer. | Hi, I originally contacted you a number of months ago to ascertain if Insuladd would be appropriate for helping me with my problem "florida room" which was totally unusable due to extreme summer heat build up. The response from you assured me that my problem was the type of problem for which Insuladd would be perfect!! I am now mid-way through the first very hot summer after I applied Insuladd. Now the room is wonderfully usable and frankly is a good advertisement for your product it having done even more than I expected. I am a very very satisfied customer. Rachel Krug - San Ramon, CA |
| The difference in the rooms comfort level was amazing! |
My house was too hot! I have southern exposure across the back and a low pitched roof. Even when the temperature is below freezing, if the sun is out, my living room could easily get up to 80 degrees, and 90 or more during the summer. Because I needed to repaint the room and ceiling, I put Insuladd in the paint. I figured at the very least, it didn't cost much and might help although frankly I was not optimistic. So it was a nice surprise to find the room was approximately 8 to 10 degrees cooler and the difference in the rooms comfort level was amazing! Thanks again, Dr. Frances Glascoe Adjunct Professor of Pediatrics Nashville, TN. |
| Everybody in the country should be using it! | I cannot understand why everybody in the country isnt using this, its amazing. I suppose they have not heard about it yet. Maura Cummins - Walkinstown |
| No doubt about it, this insuladd works. | I tend to be very sceptical about many of these so-called miracle products. I was wary about this too but a friend of mine whose opinion i would respect told me that he had used insuladd to great effect so i decided i would try it in a box bedroom which tends to be quite cold. I have to say i was amazed at the difference in the room temperature. Much cosier and i even turned down the rad because the room was getting too warm on the previous setting. No doubt about it, this insuladd works. i will certainly be using insuladd on all future paint jobs around the house" Pat Kelly - Building Services Specialist - Ashbourne |
| Products are what you say they are. | Just wanted to let you know that your products are what you say they are. My husband and I purchased a used mobile home to live in while we build. We used the radiant barrier on the front of the trailer that is in the summer sun. We purchased the insulating additive for painting all the interior walls. We have had 2 snowstorms in the past week, getting over 16" of snow. The snow melted and formed icicles at the edge of the roof where the inside ceiling and walls have not yet been painted with paint containing the insulating additive. Where the additive was used there are no icicles. Not very easy to do, but I am impressed and cannot wait to finish painting. We love talking to people about this amazing product!! This is another simple way that people can make a positive impact in the energy use of their own home. Linda Arnold - NY |
| Very happy with the results | I have no central heating in my house, so in winter, as soon as i left the lounge the house was always absolutely freezing, as this is the only room with a gas fire or any method of heating. The bathroom was particularly cold, and also had trouble with condensation. I saw insuladd and thought id give it a try. I decided to buy it, because it has been developed by NASA, and has been tested bymany other independent organisations. I thought id give it a try, nothing to lose..... I can certainly tell you I am very very happy with the results...nearly a year later and still no condensation in the bathroom, and the best thing is.....my house actually feels warmer throughout the winter (i could actually leave the lounge) I havent measured the exact temperature, I dont need to....its so much warmer maybe at leats 3-4 degrees, even the walls feel warmer...insuladd is an incredible product" Ms T Fenwick - Louth |
| The Insulation contractor was stunned! | Just a note to say thank you for a great product! We used insuladd on the interior walls and ceilings of our new home. I have a steel framed home and wanted to make sure there was no ghosting on the walls from hear/cold transfer and that there was minimal loss of heat. When we got our first gas bill for winter weather I was surprised. It was twice what my neighbors were. I knew my heat wasn't coming on very much and I shouldn't use that much gas. I called the heat/sir contractor immediately. They didn't think that my bill was excessive for the size house I have. (It is 3,850 Sq. Ft. in size) but with all I had done to be energy efficient 1 felt that my gas bill was very high!. I also called the insulation people to see if we needed more insulation in the attic. The insulation contractor had me do a few tests, while we were waiting on the Heating and Airconditioning contractor, to see if we had a lot of heat loss through the ceiling. We had 9" of snow the day before and it was 26 degrees outside so it was a good time to do this type of testing! I had a temperature difference of 8 degrees from the top of the insulation and the attic air temperature, which means I had very little heat loss through the ceiling. Next I checked the temperature difference inside the house between the sitting area and the ceiling. The average was 2 degrees. With ten foot high ceilings there is usually a 10 deg. temperature difference between the floor and ceiling. The Insulation contractor was stunned! I then proceeded to tell him about Insuladd and gave him your web address so that he could get more information! The Heating and Air conditioning people finally found the trouble with the heater, it was a bad computer board that was turning on the gas with out the thermostat calling for heat so it was burning gas but the dampers didn't open for the hut to go into the house. When it was fixed my gas usage dropped to less than a third of what it was before! The outside temperature was in the seventies yesterday and the house was 72 degrees inside when we went to bed. When we got up in the morning it was 44 degrees outside and when I checked the gas meter no gas had been used by the heater all night and the inside temperature was still 70 degrees. (Only a 2 degree overnight interior temperature drop!) I strongly recommend the use of Insuladd for anyone who wants to maintain a comfortable home and who desires to reduce their energy expenses! Sincerely, Linda Bell Oklahoma City, Oklahoma |
Insuladd works, no doubt about it. |
I reapinted the walls with insuladd last march and no mould or mildew has reappeared since. I also found that the room was a lot more cosy. Insuladd works, no doubt about it. Maura C - Cavan |
| I want to kiss the inventor! |
Because of the cost of fuel I painted our mobile home roof ... 16X80. We put 2 coats on in two days. It is everything you say it is and more. We are so impressed that we are going to finish the entire house in it and, our sheds. We have one outdoor kitty that resides in one of the sheds and this will help keep him cool this summer. We live in the southern part of Arkansas and it is hot and humid and have already weathered two pretty nasty storms since the application. I could hardly believe how quiet the roof was. This paint has stabilized the inside temperature so much that I want to kiss the inventor! It has only been two weeks ... but our kilowatt usage has gone from 80 watts per day to 51. Kindest Regards - T W (Your truest believer) |
| Thank you for your wonderful product. | Subject: Home Modifications for Persons with Disabilities. My name is Jon DeWinter. I am the home modification coordinator for the cities of Glendale and Peoria, Arizona. This program is through Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) from these cities and administrated by ABIL. We have a monthly newsletter that we put out to our consumers called the Bridge. The following is the article that was written about your INSULADD. Thanks to a paint additive (INSULADD®) discovered by ABIL's Glendale Home Mod Coordinator Jon DeWinter, a consumer will be enjoying much cooler temperatures this summer. The consumer had bought a mobile home that had an addition built on the side that was made into a living room. The roof of this addition was just an aluminum awning with no insulation. Last year, due to the radiant heat from the awning, the temperature inside the home would reach 110 degrees and the temperature in the addition would reach 130 degrees. The home modification project proved very successful in that soon after the coating, when the outside temperature was 86 the inside temperature was 70. A more recent check on the home found that when the outside temperature hit 110, the home inside stayed around 85 degrees. We are sure that this process will make it more livable for the consumer this summer. COOL! Thank you for your wonderful product. When I build myself another home I am definitely going to use your INSULADD®! Thanks again Jon DeWinter - Arizona Bridge To Independent Living |
| Insulating Paint Additive is the Real Deal. | When I first learned about ceramic microsphere paint technology, I was intrigued. I live in a small rural town in Northern Arizona, and experience colder winter temperatures than I am comfortable with. Since moving here I've applied every conventional method I knew to make my home more comfortable (warmer), and reduce its heating bills. Although the logic of the technology of your products made sense, in today's world there is always the thought in the back of every prospective customers mind, “Are these people for real?” The only way I could know for sure if you were for real, short of knowing someone who had used your products, was to try your product. I'm glad I did. As a result I am now enjoying a more comfortable (warmer) environment, and my heating costs have been significantly reduced as reflected by the furnace usage below. The furnace usage data below are a result of using a digital thermostat that has a usage feature which displays how long the furnace operated during the current and previous day, and daily entering and compiling the usage on a computer. During the first 14 days of January, prior to repainting the interior with your Insulated Paint Additive, the furnace was operating an average of 4:24 a day to keep the temperature at 69 degrees, or a total of 61:37. During the last 14 days of January, after the painting was completed, the furnace was operating an average of 2:59 a day, or a total of 41:52. The math comparing the furnace usage tells us that the furnace operated 32% less during the 14 days subsequent to repainting with your Insulated Additive than before it was repainted. It is conceivable that the reduced furnace usage was due to a upward change in the exterior temperature. In fact the exterior temperature did change. It was consistently colder (below or near freezing) during the last week of January. The exterior temperature decreased, and the operating time of the furnace decreased to maintain a 69 degree temperature. The only logical conclusion that can be drawn is that the Insulated Paint Additive used to repaint the interior served to retain more of the heat the furnace generated than before. Considering the fact that the major cost involved with heating any structure is not so much initially heating the structure, but replacing the heat lost because of heat transferred through ceilings and walls your products address the shortcomings of construction material. Insulating Paint Additive is the Real Deal. In addition to the obvious energy savings above, and the reduced wear and tear on the furnace because of operating it less the additional benefit of your additive reducing the exterior noise (traffic, and barking dogs) from coming into my home has been greatly appreciated, and enjoyed. My reason for trying your product was heating less expensively in a cold climate. I'm sure the properties of your products would work as effectively in hot climates to effect air-conditioning. I would without a doubt recommend insulating paint additives to anyone who is looking for a means of making their home, or business, more comfortable and less expensive to heat or cool. Sincerely, Vincent (Jim) Garofolo |
| I can see the difference the paint has made. | Wanted to let you know I have been comparing 2007/2008 electric bills. I am not using price as the price has gone up per KWH. But if I use the average daily KWH I can see the difference the paint has made. My July average daily usage was 160 KWH for 2007 and 138 KWH for 2008. So I used a total of 511 KWHs less in July 2008 than in 2007. I took this off my latest electric bill. Sincerely, P.W. |
| Wow! We could tell an immediate difference. | I have a 1000 sq foot "Rec room". The ceiling is 3/8" plywood. There is no insulation between the plywood ceiling and the attic. (The room was originally built as a carport and above the ceiling it shares the attic with the rest of the house) This summer the room has been hitting the 90's, even with the 3 AC vents I installed. Two of the walls are brick (one common to the house) and the other two walls cement board on the outside and paneled on the inside. They are well insulated. You could literally feel the heat radiating into the room from the ceiling. A couple of weeks ago we put two coats of paint with the ceramic beads on the ceiling. Wow! We could tell an immediate difference. The ceiling is no longer radiating heat like it used to, and the room is now staying almost as cool as the rest of the house, even when it is 95 out and 120+ in the attic! To make it perfect I reckon I would have to put in a third attic fan and/or put some insulation above the ceiling. But the improvement from 4 hours of painting is mind boggling! | 35% Savings achieved | I have a small, one bed room, top floor apartment in Southfield, Michigan. Last summer I got a $300 power bill and about went into cardiac arrest. For a 1000 square foot apartment, this is on the high side of outrageous. I stuck my head up in the up in the attic and found out the insulation up there was the blown stuff. A thermometer placed up there reached 155 F, about 60 F above the outside air temperature. Using ceramic paint, I painted the ceiling and interior side of the outside walls in my living room. I used 2/3 the amount of gas last winter than I did the year before. I must state is was a whole lot colder during the winter of this year than the previous. We even tied a record low temperature, set in 1878, for one day during the first week of December. In short, ceramic additive to paint works. Its been about nine months since I painted my place and have just about recovered my investment. This includes the $150 I spent on an 8 foot ladder. I only painted the living room, I can't wait to see my savings when I paint the bedroom too. Thanks |
| AWESOME! That's all I can say | AWESOME! That's all I can say about ceramic insulating paint products. I am building a new wood frame building here in Houston and decided to use ceramic insulating paint to try and reduce heat intrusion through the roof and sidewall's. We setup temperature monitors inside the building so that we could compare the before and after temp's. Our first application was the spraying of the underside of the roof decking, the interior temperature dropped a whopping 18° F. Several days later we sprayed the exterior and the interior temperature dropped 25°F !!! The building is now ready for insulation on interior walls and drywall and sitting here wide open in the hot Texas sun the interior and exterior temperatures are the same meaning there is NO HEAT GAIN from the roof or wall materials. Insulating paint products have proven they Really Work! J.L Houston, TX |
| I am not often impressed with new products | Last June I needed to paint my living room. A few months before I had heard from somebody who lived in a large dome tent in the mountains of Colorado at about 9,000 ft. He lived there both winter and summer. I asked what he did about insulation and he started telling me about his use of paint with ceramic bead additives, hollow spheres with vacuums inside of them. I have a M.S. degree in Physics, so I immediately understood the possibilities of what he was telling me. I wanted to add these beads to the interior paint as my house is not that well insulated. I got some paint from the local hardware store and mixed in the ceramic beads. After painting the living room I was really pleased with the results. The echoes in the room went away and the room seemed to regulate temperatures better than an adjacent room with the same exterior exposure qualities. After this experience I painted the fiberglass pop-top of my van. After the paint dried, the finish looked even better than the original top. In the hot Utah sun the van was is cooler inside when parked outside in the direct sun. I am not often impressed with new products these days... as the hype does not seem to follow up with the experience. I must say that ceramic insulating additives for paint have thoroughly impressed me so far. Sincerely, George Fischer - M.S.(Physics) Salem, Utah |
